Martha has 30 years of executive experience in healthcare. She most recently led Optum Behavioral Health, a U.S. leader in behavioral health services, as their Chief Executive Officer. Martha’s expertise is in the healthcare industry with deep insights into behavioral health and both US and international healthcare markets. She has focused on and succeeded at driving growth and profitability within extremely complex and competitive markets.
Prior to joining Optum Behavioral Health, Martha served as the President of Aetna’s New England market for five years and Global Benefits for nine years. Martha is currently advising several healthcare companies, with a focus on companies that work at the intersection of the medical and behavioral spaces. In addition to joining Silver Fern’s Board of Advisors, Martha is also a board member of Psych Hub and is a mental health and wellness advocate.
Martha graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.
