Julia has more than 15 years of experience helping companies improve core strategies, realize policy change, professionalize communications, and organize operations. She supports communications, marketing, human resources, and product improvement at Silver Fern Healthcare.
Prior to Silver Fern, Julia served in a variety of progressive roles at the Capitol Region Education Council and State Education Resource Center. She was most recently the Director of Public Policy and Strategic Planning at CREC, responsible for leading mission-critical projects, including major business analyses and operational efficiency initiatives. She led the organization’s legislative agenda and managed strategic planning and leadership initiatives. For five years, she led the turnaround and growth of CREC’s Communications and Marketing department. Julia has independently consulted with businesses and non-profits on effective communications and strategy and was an adjunct professor of business communication and statistics at the University of Connecticut’s School of Business.
She received a BS in education and psychology from the University of Hartford and a MS in Comparative and International Education from Oxford University. She completed her MBA in 2016 and is currently completing an Advanced Certificate in Accounting, both from the University of Connecticut.
